Shaft tipping chart
Below you will find the BASIC tipping guidelines for our shafts. Your installation may very do to, length, head weight, grip weight, and if you are using a CPM machine.

STEEL Steples Irons and Hybrid

R Flex - 3 iron or #2 Hybrid NO tipping required, then tip 1/2" for each club after that, butt trim to length. (Example; a 4 iron or #3 hybrid would be tipped 1/2" then butt trim to length, 5 iron and #5 hybrid would be tipped 1" and butt trimmed to length)

S Flex - 3 iron or #2 Hybrid tip 1/2" and then 1/2" for each club after that


GRAPHITE iron and hybrid R-S and A-L flex shafts

L Flex - 3,4,5 iron or hybrid heads NO tip butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that. (Example; a 7 iron/hybrid would be tipped 1")

A (senior) Flex - 3 iron or #2 hybrid NO tip butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that.

R Flex- 3 iron or #2 hybrid tip 1/2" butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that.

S Flex - 3 iron or #2 hybrid tip 1" butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that.


GRAPHITE woods R-S and A-L combo flex shafts.

L Flex - Driver head NO tip butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that. (Example; a 3 wood would be tipped 1/2, 5 wood 1"tip)

A (senior) Flex - Driver 1/2 " tip butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that.

R Flex- Driver NO tip and butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that.

S Flex - Driver tip 1" butt trim to length and then 1/2" per club after that.

**NOTE** DO NOT tip discreet/single  flex shafts as they are designed to be installed without being tipped, just butt trim.
